I am a practicing Cardio- Thoracic Surgeon since 1980.I did my medical schooling (MBBS), post graduation in surgery (MS, General Surgery) and super post graduation (M.Ch Cardio-thoracic Surgery) from King George’s Medical College Lucknow University, India.

I was Appointed Consultant Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon at Apollo Hospital, Chennai in 1984. In the year 1991 September , I established a modern high-tech Cardio-Thoracic Department at Apollo Hospital, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad and presently continuing as Chief Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon since then.

Presently we are doing between 1200-1400 Cardio-Thoracic operations every year.Majority of our work is adult cardiac surgery.We do 700-900 Coronary Artery Bypass(CABG)surgeries and large number of heart valve operations every year.Since 2003 we are doing Beating Heart Surgery technique for Coronary Bypass Surgeries on routine basis. We have completed over 3500 CABG Surgeries using Off-Pump beating heart technique. Our department has done nearly 15,000 cardiac-Thoracic operations since 1991.
